I am sure you have all heard about the country that lies in the central Europe, nestled between Adriatic Sea, Dinaric Alps and Pannonian Basin. Most of people want to visit Croatia during summer for the obvious reasons. There are not a lot of countries in the world where you can choose between hundreds of islands (Hvar, Brac, Korcula being amongst most popular) or so-called mainland rivieras with beautiful old towns like Dubrovnik or Split. I have visited most of Croatian rivieras (in fact, I visit Opatija almost every month), and I can easily say that Makarska is one of the most beautiful ones in the Adriatic region. Unfortunately, millions of tourists also know this, so prepare to get crowded. A lot. Alternatively, here are 5 things to do near Makarska Riviera in case you have an extra day off or you get tired of frying your body in the sun.
Hotel review: Bluesun hotel Afrodita (Tučepi, Croatia)
We have passed by Makarska Riviera several times but never found the time so stop there for couple of days and just enjoy what it has to offer. This September we decided to make a long weekend escape from Slovenia, combining some outdoor activities (hiking and bicycling) and catching some vitamin D on the beach. The primary goal was to be located on the beach and close to Biokovo National Park, which was the starting point for the bicycle tour. While I was hesitating between a rich offer of cheaper private apartments and rooms (September is not that crowded anymore), I rather chose a hotel in Tučepi with a higher standard of comfort and fantastic location. Here is my review of Bluesun hotel Afrodita.
Heading to Perth? Here are some useful tips.
When the time finally arrives to head to a destination that you’ve been excited for “since forever” you want to make the most of it. You’ve booked your time off from the office, and set your our of office reply to ” currently unavailable” mode. Your camera is ready for your adventures and enormous pile of books is packed for the evenings and relaxation. Your hotel/apartment is booked, you’re going to (or have already) hire a car from Burswood Rentals, and you can’t wait to start sightseeing. So, you are heading to Perth and your vacation is already going to be fantastic – but how do you upgrade it?
