Utah<\/strong> is home to some of the United States\u2019 most popular national parks. If your Utah itinerary includes Arches and Canyonlands national park,<\/strong> it is a good idea to stay somewhere in or near Moab.<\/strong> We stayed in Red Cliffs Lodge,<\/strong> which looked absolutely gorgeous on the web page<\/a>. I admit, I felt for the photos. In this post you will find a detailed review<\/strong> of Red Cliffs lodge and see why it’s rated as one of the top places to stay in Moab<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Location<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Red Cliffs Lodge is around 25-minute drive from Arches<\/strong> national park entrance. For us, this was quite important because we wanted to get to the park early in the morning. When I say \u201cearly in the morning\u201d, this means waking up before 6 am, and at this hour every minute counts. 😉 You can reach Red Cliffs lodge via UT-128E road, which runs along the Colorado River. Boy, what a scenic ride<\/strong> that is! The property is huge with plenty of free parking space<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The property<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Nestled between the Colorado River and gorgeous red-colored cliffs<\/strong>, the location of Red Cliffs Lodge immediately indicates you came to a very special place. The main lodge hosts a very nice reception, as well as a restaurant with fantastic view of the river. The wooden guest cabins and suites are situated along the river bank, each with its own creek of the Colorado river view<\/strong>. The property also includes a fitness, hot tub and a pool<\/strong>, which unfortunately we didn\u2019t have time to use due to our busy schedule.<\/p>\n

The suits<\/strong><\/h5>\n

We stayed in the \u201cRiver King Suite\u201d<\/strong>, which was literally jaw dropping. And it wasn\u2019t even the most expensive unit in the property! My first impression when I walked in was \u201cIt\u2019s not fair we only have one day to spend here!\u201d<\/p>\n

The best feature of the suite was a private deck with fantastic views<\/strong>. I found it particularly sexy that the deck (or terrace) is separated from the bedroom with a couple of wooden stairs.<\/strong> So basically, you walk from the bed down to the \u201cliving room\u201d<\/strong>. The lower space also includes a sofa, dining table<\/strong> and a fully equipped kitchenette<\/strong> with microwave, toaster and coffee machine. The bathroom<\/strong> is designed with separate toilet and shower area which is very convenient in the morning rush. It offers all the necessities, including a hair dryer, make up mirror and cotton robes. The rustically designed suite also offers free Wi-Fi and TV<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Dining<\/strong><\/h5>\n

If you don\u2019t want to prepare your own food, Red Cliffs Lodge has got you covered. The all-you-can-eat hot breakfast buffet (surcharge) is available in The Cowboy Grill restaurant<\/strong> in the main cabin. The restaurant is also available for dinner, even to walk-in guests, however reservation is recommended, especially in the main season.<\/p>\n

Bottom line:<\/strong> Keep in mind that my Red Cliffs Lodge review and rate is based on one night stay only. However, this was also the only issue I had with my stay there. Of course, this was not property\u2019s fault but our road trip schedule was really busy. If you are looking to upgrade your Southern Utah itinerary and want to stay in a place that will make you feel like home, Red Cliffs Lodge is the answer. But do yourself a favor and don\u2019t repeat my mistake. Book for at least 2 nights! 😉<\/p>\n
