The \u201ccoronavirus\u201d situation in Croatia has forced a lot of hotels to shut down their business (at least temporarily), hence deciding where to stay in Makarska Riviera was rather easy. After narrowing our options to: pet-friendly, close to the beach, close to Makarska old town, free parking, breakfast included, air-condition, free Wi-Fi and excellent ratings, the choice was obvious. We booked <strong>Poseidon Mobile Home Resort<\/strong> for 3 nights and we didn\u2019t regret it even for a second.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5><strong>Location<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Poseidon Mobile Home Resort is located in the <strong>beginning of Makarska Riviera, <\/strong>around 2.5 km from Makarska old town and you can easily <strong>reach the center on foot<\/strong>; it is a nice and cozy walk along the beach, accompanied by hundreds of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. We took it twice a day, for lunch and for evening drinks. We are walking freaks, so this was actually a plus for us. The location is very well marked and easy to reach, <strong>parking<\/strong> is huge and free of charge.<\/p>\n<div class='adkingprobanneradsense sidebar banner344' rel='344'><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\r\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-6150236094919176\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"1398083402\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><script type='text\/javascript'>ga('send', 'event', '', 'Impression', '');<\/script>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>The resort<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The resort itself comprises of around 20-something <strong>mobile units<\/strong>. Some of the units look like really small <strong>mobile homes<\/strong> but with everything you need inside and outside. Others are a bit bigger and designed as small <strong>apartments.<\/strong> The resort has a very decent <strong>swimming pool<\/strong> with sunbeds and umbrellas, and 2 separate areas with sunbeds just for the hell of it. Next to the pool there is a <strong>restaurant with terrace<\/strong>, which offers pool and (long-distance) sea views. You get 2 separate <strong>bedrooms<\/strong> (one queen size and two separate beds), 2 small <strong>bathrooms<\/strong>, a fully equipped <strong>kitchen<\/strong> with a table and TV space, as well as a nice <strong>terrace<\/strong> with a small table and private sunbeds. You get cheese, salami and all those little things you can put on bread. On top of that you can choose between eggs any style, served with tea or coffee and a croissant for a desert. While breakfast is rather basic due to the obvious circumstances, <strong>dinner<\/strong> is something else. There are not a lot of dishes on the menu, however each of them is <strong>absolutely fantastic<\/strong>. We tried 4 different dishes and all I can say is <strong>Compliments to the chef!<\/strong>\u00a0Actually, Adrion restaurant was the deal-breaker that made us decide we will return to Poseidon Mobile Home resort very soon.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/scontent.flju1-1.fna.fbcdn.net\/v\/t1.0-9\/108000739_3576558952374000_5363096330141221464_o.jpg?_nc_cat=107&amp;_nc_sid=0debeb&amp;_nc_ohc=1jwyysv9vXYAX-f9vnN&amp;_nc_ht=scontent.flju1-1.fna&amp;oh=68a9b93d68295650f86b98a10855891e&amp;oe=5F3276B5\" \/><\/p>\n<h5><strong>The beach<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The beach is \u201cone block\u201d or around 200 meters from the resort \u2013 so it is not a \u201cwalk in\u201d situation. We knew this from the beginning so we were not too disappointed. However, the <strong>beach itself is gorgeous<\/strong>, with lots of trees for natural shade and very spacious. I am not sure it was for the Covid-19 situation or the fact that it was still June, but there were not many people on the beach at all. Which was a total winner for me. On top of that, the <strong>sea is crystal clear<\/strong> and being a beach fanatic, I can say that Makarska has one of the best beaches in the Adriatic region.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Pet friendly<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Poseidon resort is perfect for our furry friends, as the units are really private and if your dog is well mannered, it won&#8217;t be a problem for the neighbors. With close vicinity of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelwithanda.com\/index.php\/2020\/07\/12\/top-things-to-do-in-biokovo-nature-park-croatia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Biokovo Nature Park<\/a>, it is very good starting point for bikers and hikers. It is hidden away from the hustle and bustle, so you should get a decent sleep even during the peak season. I am giving it a 9 only because one huge hotel is being built right in front of the resort, which blocks the sea-view for the resort guests.
