Sure, Bali, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelwithanda.com\/index.php\/2018\/10\/24\/enchanting-lombok\/?fbclid=IwAR24CgTPvkXhwMv6gvHmEaQucgcRrM8PIVR0r6MElfVnJjpJHEKU0J5Mt14\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lombok<\/a> and the Gilis\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are excellent places to visit and travel &#8211; there\u2019s nothing quite like lying on the beach all day and drinking in the nearby shacks all night.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>However, Indonesia is so much more and it has<\/strong> <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>plenty to offer regarding exclusivity<\/strong>. In fact, there might not be a nation on the planet which has as many experiences that are only found in one place. What Indonesia has, particularly on the island of Java, is an array of <strong>active volcanoes<\/strong>. There are too many to name, but the main ones <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturetrip.com\/asia\/indonesia\/articles\/10-stunning-volcanoes-in-indonesia-that-deserve-a-visit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are Ijen, Batur, Bromo and Rinjani<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and they all have something special to offer. Ijen, for example, spits out lava which ignites with the sulphur in the air and creates a blue flame at night.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because of this, it makes sense to see as many as possible. After all, it\u2019s not too often you\u2019re in the <strong>Pacific Rim<\/strong> on the <strong>Ring of Fire.<\/strong> Whether you\u2019re deep down in the crater or on the top of a mountain watching the sunrise, it is truly a unique experience. Just\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">don\u2019t forget to take a gas mask because you\u2019ll never get the taste of sulphur out of your lungs otherwise. And, it ain\u2019t a pretty smell \ud83d\ude09<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/c.pxhere.com\/photos\/3c\/f2\/komodo_dragon_komodo_lizard_reptile_large_big_predator_wildlife-765121.jpg!d\" alt=\"walking wildlife zoo island predator reptile iguana fauna lizard big large dangerous komodo dragon komodo scaled reptile lacertidae nile crocodile\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Komodo Dragons<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAncient species inherited this planet long before us and they\u2019ll be here long after.\u201d Yes, this is one of the standout lines of the <strong>movie Kong: Skull Island<\/strong>, but it\u2019s also a nod to <strong>Komodo,<\/strong> an island in eastern Indonesia. Here, you\u2019ll find the remainder of a lost generation as the Komodo dragons laze around in the heat, only bursting into life to hunt.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These ancient lizards live side-by-side humans in Komodo national park, and that provides &#8220;instafamous&#8221; opportunities for tourists. Just be careful to watch your back at all times. Unlike most reptiles, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mnn.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the dragons<\/a> weigh up to 90kg and hit top speeds of 20km\/h!\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Plus, they have razor sharp claws for pawing their prey and their teeth are capped with deadly bacteria.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Still, don\u2019t let it put you off because the reports of incidents are very rare. It\u2019s not like you\u2019re going into Jurassic Park or anything, even though in a way, you are \ud83d\ude09<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/c.pxhere.com\/images\/bb\/72\/2103644e78e3fecabc975e45cae3-1423365.jpg!d\" alt=\"animals orangutan mammal fauna great ape primate wildlife terrestrial animal tree common chimpanzee organism jungle forest rainforest new world monkey\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Orangutan Spotting<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other special inhabitants, found only in the wilderness of Indonesia are <a href=\"http:\/\/wwf.panda.org\/knowledge_hub\/endangered_species\/great_apes\/orangutans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Orangutans<\/strong><\/a>. Famous for being the closest things to humans on the planet, they have been studied for decades and we\u2019re starting to get a better picture of their habits. Plus, admit that they\u2019re cute in their orange coats! If you want to see them in their natural habitat<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, you need to travel to the islands of Sumatra or Borneo. B<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ecause they\u2019re <strong>endangered<\/strong> you\u2019ll need a pass to enter the parks and a guide to make sure there\u2019s no funny business. All in all, the cost can be a little steep but a place such as <strong>Tanjung Puting<\/strong> is the only area you can see them in the wild.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine being able to say you\u2019ve seen dragons and our human cousins in one trip \ud83d\ude09<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Cheap Property<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This one is a bit &#8220;off the beaten track&#8221; but the thought of living amongst beautiful wildlife and active volcanoes just might give you itchy feet. It crossed my mind a few times too! Well, the great news is property is very affordable even in the most \u201creputable\u201d towns and cities on the islands. From Java to Sumatra and Kalimantan, there is a <strong>wide range of choice<\/strong> for properties which only slashes house prices. The chances are you\u2019re sick of seeing temples after a stint in Southeast Asia; however, this one in Java is well worth a visit.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For something same-same but different, you <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lonelyplanet.com\/indonesia\/java\/yogyakarta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">should head to nearby Yogyakarta City<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The temples are built on top of one another and that gives them a sheer and dramatic look.
