My bucket list for next 7 years

When it comes to New Yearโ€™s resolutions, most of people aim to lose weight, quit smoking, do more exercise … or something else, mostly health-related. Well, I have been a good girl for years now and I am well aware that healthy lifestyle is a journey, not just something you promise to yourself (and usually fail) every year ๐Ÿ˜‰ Instead of making resolutions, I decided to come up with a bucket list of 7 destinations I want to visit and 7 activities I want to do in the next 7 years. As I mentioned in my post about my travel favorites, my goal is not to visit all countries in the world, but it is pretty damn close. And since […]

I have visited 4 continents, 50 countries and 20 states in the past 15 years. Not bad for someone who only has 24 days off work per year, right? Well, there is simply not enough time to see everything (as I say in my Instagram bio: โ€œsomeone has to pay the billsโ€), and some places are so wonderful that I just HAVE TO keep coming back. I have created a list of โ€œMy travel favoritesโ€, where you can get the feeling what type of traveler I am and hopefully add one of them to your bucket list as well. After all, you are here to get some new travel tips, right? ๐Ÿ˜‰ So, my travel favorites are โ€ฆ 1. MY […]

The Taj Mahal Love Story

Although India was never on my bucket list, I did secretly wish to see the grand Taj Mahal, especially after I had learned about the story behind it. Thanks to my boyfriend, who always comes up with great ideas (I know he wonโ€™t read this so I might as well give him the credit :P) we made a โ€œsmall detourโ€ on our way to Maldives this February. Since it was quite a challenge to get all the relevant information about Taj Mahal in one place, I have decided to write a post where I will gather everything you need to know, such as: what time is the best to visit, which gate is best to enter, how to avoid the […]

Hotel review: Jolly Beach Resort & Spa (Bolans, Antigua)

We chose Jolly Beach Resort & Spa for our first visit to the beautiful Antigua island. We wanted an all-inclusive option for a hassle free vacation, but we knew we would be traveling around a lot, so we didnโ€™t want to pay a fortune for it. Despite very mixed reviews on Tripadvisor, Jolly Beach Resort & Spa with officially 3 stars turned out to be a very good compromise for what we needed. Location The resort lies on Jolly Beach, which is indeed one of the most beautiful beaches of Antigua. The transport from the Airport takes around 20 minutes by car (let me point out that the roads in Antigua are a big headache, especially during the night when […]

The gem of Indian ocean: Mahe island, Seychelles

I still remember Miss World contest in 1998, when everyone was staring at gorgeous women, striving for peace on Earth, while my eyes were glued on those magnificent rounded rocks, white sandy beaches and crystal clear ocean in behind. Since then Seychelles had been somewhere on my mind but yet far enough to be saved for this special occasion. Meanwhile I was lucky enough to visit Dominican Republic, Cuba, Turks and Caicos Islands, Bahamas, Maldives and some other beautiful beach destinations, but when looking back it seems to me those were only small steps to reach the โ€œgrand finaleโ€. Donโ€™t get me wrong โ€“ all previously mentioned destinations are fantastic and I know there are many more oceanย pearls to be […]
